Our Pets of the Month!

The month is almost over, but I just had to show you the winners for the month of March thru April 15th. They are so cute!

Cat of the Month

Congratulations to our Cat of The Month, Hannah whose owner Shannon Kipp of Kay-9 Companion Pet Care, holds the distinction of being the only owner so far to have both her dog and cat as Pets Of The Month. Hannah who is playful will be rolling in kitty litter when the mailman arrives with her special package! :)

Dog of the Month

Congratulations to our Dog of the Month, Tanner who guided his owner Shannon Kipp of Arizona to a two for two victory in out Pet Of The Month winner's circle. Tanner is playful yet serious when it comes to protecting his owner. We have instructed the mailman to tiptoe to drop off Tanner's special prize-or run like hell!..lol :)

If you are interested in entering our monthly pet contest please send us a cute picture, name of your pet, a little blurb about your pet and your name and address so that we can send the winner fun surprises. The winners will be put on our homepage, newsletter and blog.

Paper Buddies

I want to share a little bit of fun with all of you. My 6 year old son and my 9 year old daughter came up with simple, but cute idea. They are called Paper Buddies. They take a plain 8 x 10 piece of paper, draw a buddy, cut them out and then either glue them or staple them together. They said it's their little friends to keep. So we went a little farther and added a magnet on the back of each buddy ,then placed them on the refridgerator.

It's little moments like these that make life so special...

Here are the steps to make the paper buddies:

1. Take a piece of paper ,cut out the pieces of the body. 2. Then color them . 3. Then glue or staple them together. 4. Finished buddies! So simple ,but so cute.

VALLEY OF THE DOLLS

Well....as promised here are the dolls I turned from Rags to Riches. They were so much fun to dress up! They are all full of detail and would look so cute in any little girls room or even a grown up ladies room. :) I am adding them to our e-bay auction if you are interested in buying one. Unfortunately one of them is not for sale. My darling 9 yr. old daughter fell in love with the one dressed in the aqua color dress. So she is now the proud owner of this cute doll. But don't worry there will be more dolls very soon. It is one of my passions so I plan on making more.

Breakfast At Tiffany's

Somedays you wake up and you think it's just another day. And sometimes you wake up and think today is going to be great! Well today was a great day! I stepped out for a bit and when I got home a nice surprise was waiting at my door.

Joyce Lucas the founder of Make Mine Pink sent me the most wonderful gift. A beautiful pen from Tiffany's ! It's almost too cute to use! But I will use it..oh yes I will..and I will be proud to use it as I am proud to be a member of Make Mine Pink.

And I have to add that I love the movie Breakfast At Tiffany's. Audrey Hepburn was a classy lady and a wonderful humanitarian. I can watch it over and over with my darling hubby and a bowl of popcorn :)

Here is a pic of the pen! Thank you Joyce! xo

From Rags To Riches

Ever since I can remember I have loved collecting dolls of all kinds. But my most favorite are cloth dolls. I have dolls from Holland,France,Greece,England and just about everywhere I can buy one. I have wanted to make dolls for the longest time. So I have decided that there is not time like the present.

Here are 3 dolls I found at an antique store. I am going to take their plain bodies and turn them into pretty dolls. I have painted a face on one of them just to give you a glimpse of what a little bit or artwork can do. I have many ideas for their dresses and things I will decorate them with.

Stop by soon so you can see them turn into little beauties.
